This Skindiver Professional watch features an orange dial with white BGW9 Super-LumiNova®, the iconic minute arrow hand, a Hesalite glass, a steel case - water resistant to 120m with a screw-down crown.

This automatic watch - powered by the Japanese automatic movement Citizen/Miyota 8315 - is presented on a black Tropic rubber strap or a 316L stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet.

The Skindiver Professional is secured with a screw-down caseback and the first 949 pieces - a tribute to Wolbrook Watches foundation in 1949 - come with a limited edition caseback.

The special casebacks of these tool-watches are individually numbered and feature, along with the technical markings, a deep engraving with enamel of the proverbial moto “THE PROOF IS IN THE CORAL REEF” and a zoomed in clown triggerfish - Balistoides conspicillum – of the Balistidae family.

The clown triggerfish is most commonly found along coral reef slopes with clear water until 75m depth.

ISO 6425 – the international standard that defines the specifications of Dive Watches – states that 100m water resistance is where the realm of diving watches starts.

SHOCK RESISTANCE A FATHOM AHEAD

The newly engineered HexapleX® watch case architecture brings enhanced shock-resistance via the use of “3D” rubber shock absorbers strategically placed in the front, back and side of the movement holder.

The movement is subsequently in a “floating” configuration and effectively shielded from big to micro impacts on the watch case.

The result is the most impact resistant and accurate* Skindiver tool-watch Wolbrook has ever manufactured.

HESALITE GLASS: THE PRO’S CHOICE

From the 1960s and earlier, armed forces around the world along with NASA issued wrist-watches secured with Hesalite glasses to service men, pilots and astronauts. Why? Hesalite offers high transparency, strong impact resistance and do not shatter like glass or sapphire would.

To this day, above or under the ocean, in a cockpit, or even in space, the possibility of having tiny bits of glass floating around or having the face of the watch exposed to the elements is considered an unnecessary risk and a direct threat to mission success.

ASSEMBLED IN FRANCE

Like all Wolbrook & Douglas watches since the 1960s, the Skindiver Professional tool-watches are carefully assembled by professional and trained watchmakers in France, nearby Besançon.

The movements are customized – removal of the date disk in the case of the Skindiver Professional - and regulated by our watchmakers.
