THE SKINDIVER TOOL-WATCHES
The iconic Skindiver “Worldtimer” watch from the 1960s, is now re-edited in 3 versions:
We don’t feature Kickstarter watches often on this site. It’s not because we dislike them, but we like to focus on watches that offer something special. I firmly believe that Wolbrook is such a brand.
Proportions are harmonious and the wearing feeling is great. It’s well finished and numerous details are faithful to the original.
One of the most extreme tool watches from the 1960s sees a new reincarnation. […] this is handsome traveler’s timepiece that straddles the line between practical diving watch and Worldtimer, while remaining authentic to its roots.
WORN & WOUND
We bring you news of Wolbrook, an historic brand resurrected through Kickstarter, and their Skindiver WT, a watch with […] a pretty interesting story in its own right.
WOLBROOK WATCH COMPANY
WOLBROOK watches have been ticking and measuring the unforgiving seconds of high-speed flights since 1949.
The most distinguished timepieces from WOLBROOK and its sister brand DOUGLAS were the SKINDIVER and the SKINDIVER “WORLDTIMER”. With advertising in Life, Time, and Esquire magazines, these “incredible” watches – as they were called in the headlines - were renowned for their water resistance and were in fact sold in a water-filled container.
After being asleep for 50 years, Wolbrook has been resurrected in 2020 and once again these “incredible” watches are assembled in France.
