The Outrider Professional field watch is secured with a screw-down caseback and the first 938 pieces come with a limited edition caseback.

The special casebacks of these tool-watches are individually numbered and feature, along with the technical markings, a deep engraving with enamel of the proverbial moto “THE PROOF IS IN THE DRIVING” and a Laffly truck - V-15 R.

Developed in the 1930s for the French army, the Laffly V-15 R was among the first 4x4 truck in history .

LEGENDARY 4X4 TRUCKS

Founded in 1898, Laffly motor company focused on heavy duty trucks from 5 to 22 tons. After World War One, from the 1920s to the 1930s Laffly took part in several civilian’s raids and military exploration expeditions in North Africa with 2 tons 4 wheels trucks.

From this invaluable trans-Africans field experience, Laffly engineers came up with an avant-garde and now illustrious all-terrains vehicle concept built for military use and available in 6 wheels – the W-15 - and 4 wheels – the V-15.

SHOCK RESISTANCE A STEP AHEAD

The newly engineered HexapleX® watch case architecture brings enhanced shock-resistance via the use of “3D” rubber shock absorbers strategically placed in the front, back and side of the movement holder.

The movement is subsequently in a “floating” configuration and effectively shielded from big to micro impacts on the watch case.

The result is the most impact resistant and accurate* tool-watch Wolbrook has ever manufactured.

HESALITE GLASS: THE PRO’S CHOICE

From the 1960s and earlier, armed forces around the world along with NASA issued wrist-watches secured with Hesalite glasses to service men, pilots and astronauts. Why? Hesalite offers high transparency, strong impact resistance and do not shatter like glass or sapphire would.

To this day, above or under the ocean, in a cockpit, or even in space, the possibility of having tiny bits of glass floating around or having the face of the watch exposed to the elements is considered an unnecessary risk and a direct threat to mission success.

ASSEMBLED IN FRANCE

Like all Wolbrook watches since the 1960s, the Outrider Professional watches are carefully assembled by trained professional watchmakers in France, in the outskirt of Besançon.

The movements are customized – with a 6 o"clock “Roulette” style date disk in the case of the Outrider Professional - and regulated by our watchmakers.
