HEXAPLEX® WATCH CASE

Shock Resistance A Step Ahead

SHOCK-RESISTANT TOOL-WATCHES SINCE 1954

From the first tool-watch introduced in 1949 to the introduction of additional shock protection on the balance staff and mainspring in 1954, impact resistance as always been a concern for Wolbrook.

SHOCK-RESISTANCE A FATHOM AHEAD

In 2020, Wolbrook designers and engineers have been working on a new case architecture that would bring additional protection to the whole movement.

A year of R&D later, the result is now embodied in the HexapleX® case architecture.

HEXAPLEX® WATCH CASE ARCHITECTURE

The newly engineered HexapleX® watch case architecture delivers enhanced shock-resistance via the use of “3D” rubber shock absorbers strategically placed in the front, back and side of the movement holder.

The HexapleX® watch cases present 6 KEY specifications:

1. 316L STAINLESS STEEL

Hand finished brushed & polished marine grade stainless steel

2. SHOCK-RESISTANT

“Floating” movement shielded by holder with “3D” shock absorbers

3. MONO-BLOC MIDDLE CASE

Rigid & durable structure

4.A. SCREW-DOWN CASEBACK

Superlative sealing from water & dust

5. WATER-RESISTANCE

150M≈15ATM - Tested & guaranteed

6. DRILLED LUGS

Quick & simple strap changes

4.B. SCREW-DOWN CROWN

Fast & easy time setting without compromising on water & dust resistance

In the HexapleX® watch case architecture, the movement is in a “floating” configuration and effectively shielded from big to micro impacts on the watch case. The result is the tool-watches equipped with the HexapleX® case architecture are the most impact resistant and accurate* timepieces Wolbrook has ever manufactured.

*micro-impacts are responsible for loss of accuracy overtime.

HEXAPLEX®: THE MARK OF ENHANCED SHOCK-RESISTANCE FOR TOOL-WATCHES

Wolbrook tool watches equipped with the HexapleX® architecture are marked with a laser engraving of the HexapleX® logo on the back of the top right lug and on the inside of their caseback.

Currently, all the automatic watch collections (except the GP collection) are equipped with the HexapleX® watch case architecture.
