This Skindiver WTD Chrono-Mecaquartz - Telemeter & Decimeter - chronograph - NACA Edition - features a metallic white dial with black sub-dials - also know as panda dial and “Old Radium” Super-LumiNova®, the iconic broad arrow hour hand, a double dome sapphire crystal, a steel case – water-resistant to 100m.
This chronograph watch - powered by the Japanese mecaquartz chronograph movement Seiko VK64 - is presented on a one-piece brown Italian vegetable tanned strap.

The Skindiver WTD Chrono-Mecaquartz - Telemeter & Decimeter – Chronograph - NACA Edition - pays tribute to the men and women from the NACA – National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics – who were at the forefront of the aeronautical discoveries that led to the creation of the NASA and the space exploration golden age.
Ground breaking discoveries that still have an impact on our daily lives today, up in the air and down on the ground.
The NACA started the development of the first aircraft to fly to the "edge of space", the X-15. The project and personnel were then transferred to the NASA in 1958 which carried on the mission and led humanity further into space.
X-15 LIMITED EDITION CASEBACK
The Skindiver WTD Chrono-Mecaquartz chronograph is secured with a screw-down caseback and the first 1078 pieces come with a limited edition caseback.
The special casebacks of these chronographs are individually numbered and pays tribute to the X-15 aircraft by featuring an engraving of this incredible plane on its caseback and the iconic aeronautical industry line:
“THE PROOF IS IN THE FLYING”.

While our mechanical watches have always used metal holders, the Skindiver WT Chrono-Mecaquartz along with the Skindiver WT Mecaquartz and Skindiver WT Pro Chrono-Mecaquartz are now also featuring solid metal movement holders.
SCRATCH‑RESISTANT SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL
A grade of 9 on the Mohs-hardness scale (graded 1-10) and a dome shape, means the sapphire crystal of the Skindiver WTD Chrono-Mecaquartz chronograph is virtually scratch-proof and very hard. While, the inside anti-reflective coating ensures an unhindered vision at all times.
