This Skindiver WT Mecaquartz Airexpo 2026 - Special Edition wristwatch features a black dial with BGW9 Super-LumiNova®, the iconic hour arrow hand, a sapphire glass, a steel case and bezel with a blue, green or red aluminum insert - water resistant to 150 m.
This blue/green/red and black quartz watch, powered by the Japanese mecaquartz movement Seiko VH31, is presented with a three color options of one-piece nylon & leather strap or a beads-of-rice bracelet.
IMPORTANT: This special edition is exclusively available to the staff and volunteers of the Airexpo event. It is not available to the general public. This project is a private initiative between Airexpo personnel and Wolbrook Watches.

Un grande classico che strizza l’occhio alla praticità
"Possiedo già un Douglas Skindiver con movimento meccanico automatico e, in ossequio alla tradizione degli Skindiver anni ‘60, vetro in esalite. Da poco ho acquistato anche la versione con movimento Seiko Mecaquartz e vetro bombato zaffiro e ne sono molto soddisfatto. A mio parere Wolbrook ha fatto un ottimo lavoro con questo modello, peraltro pure prezzato il giusto, ottenendo un orologio dal grande fascino ma con contenuti tecnici moderni e pratici. Al di là del calore che il vetro in esalite dona, ma a prezzo di rigarsi facilmente (ma è anche facile lucidarlo di nuovo) questo modello è invece dotato di un inscalfibile vetro zaffiro (peraltro bombato e con trattamento antiriflesso). Il movimento è sì un quarzo, ma di quelli che quasi non ti fanno rimpiangere i meccanici automatici poiché nel movimento Seiko Mecaquartz la lancetta dei secondi avanza ogni quarto di secondo restituendo l’apparenza del movimento meccanico mantenendo la precisione giornaliera del quarzo. Anche qui, sia chiaro, il fascino del vero movimento meccanico è un’altra cosa ma l’effetto complessivo è, per me, piacevole e convincente. La luminescenza è molto buona, meglio di tanti altri orologi anche ben più costosi anche se, a mio avviso, non ai massimi livelli (soprattutto in termini di persistenza). Il cinturino NATO è carino e impreziosito con inserti in pelle. Io però, per non rovinare proprio gli inserti in pelle, l’ho sostituito con altro cinturino NATO senza inserti per il periodo delle vacanze per non rovinare gli inserti con l’acqua salata. Tirando le somme secondo me si tratta di un orologio che, complice un prezzo azzeccato, io consiglio di acquistare senza meno."
