WATCHES "BORN" IN FRANCE

With the recent rebirth of the centuries-old French watch industry and proven industrial viability, it made total sense for WOLBROOK watches to be once again “born” in France.

All Wolbrook & Douglas watches and chronographs are carefully assembled and regulated (when mechanical, as quartz watches do not need to be regulated) by professional watchmakers in the outskirt of Besançon, France.

THE "FRENCH CONNECTION" OF WATCHMAKING

From 1949 to the 1970s - Wolbrook & Douglas watches were made in France and also in Switzerland.

The increasing popularity of aquatic sports at the end of the 1950s gave to the post WWII French watch industry a strong and renowned expertise in sport and dive watch.

KEEP WATCHMAKING ALIVE & EVOLVING

At the end of the 1950s, Wolbrook and Douglas start to produce watches in Besançon area (France), to take advantage of the region's proficient watchmaking know-how.

Besançon is the cradle of French watchmaking, an industry that can be credited for many innovations in the micromechanics field.

Nowadays, with every watch designed, conceived and assembled, our designers, engineers and watchmakers keep watchmaking tradition alive and evolving.
