DESCRIPTION OF THIS SKINDIVER 38 AUTOMATIC WATCH - PINK OCTOBER SPECIAL EDITION

This 38 mm Skindiver Automatic – Pink October Edition features a matte pink dial created for Pink October, with a triangle at 12 o'clock, the inscription "MARSEILLE FRANCE" at 6 o'clock, and a distinctive female diver illustration created by Lauriane Abbe, a French Armed Forces artist and French Navy reserve officer. The hands and hour markers feature BGW9 Super-LumiNova® for excellent legibility in low-light conditions.

Developed by Wolbrook with the technical and design guidance of Mr Jacques Bianchi, this special edition also features a uniquely engraved caseback, a glass-box sapphire crystal, a 316L stainless steel case, 200 m / 20 ATM water resistance, a signature destro screw-down crown positioned at 9 o'clock, and Wolbrook's HexapleX® shock-resistant architecture.

Powered by the reliable Citizen/Miyota 9039 automatic movement with an approximately 42-hour power reserve, this Skindiver is available on a white or black Tropic rubber strap or a 316L stainless steel 3-link bracelet.

DIVING FOR A CAUSE

"LES BULLES ROSES"

For Pink October, Wolbrook is proud to support Les Bulles Roses, a therapeutic scuba diving programme dedicated to helping people affected by breast cancer rebuild confidence, improve their well-being and overcome the emotional challenges of the disease.

Launched in 2024 by ASENOGYN, an association chaired by breast cancer surgeon Dr Véronique Vaini-Cowen, the programme combines supervised scuba diving, relaxation and medical research. Its approach is supported by scientific research, with encouraging initial results showing improvements in participants' sleep and quality of life.

This edition was created to support a cause, not to generate profit. After covering the direct costs of producing and delivering each watch, Wolbrook will donate the remaining margin to support Les Bulles Roses. No profit will be retained by Wolbrook.

Because we believe in the positive impact of diving, both underwater and beyond.

A LEGACY STILL AT WORK

Developed with the technical and design guidance of Mr Jacques Bianchi, this special edition brings together decades of French diving-watch heritage and a new chapter in his legacy.

His personal touch is found throughout the watch: the signature destro crown at 9 o’clock, the distinctive central seconds hand recalling his historic designs, and his signature at 13 o’clock, a deliberate nod to Marseille’s département number, 13, included at his own request.

The “MARSEILLE FRANCE” inscription at 6 o’clock honours the city where each watch is assembled and tested at Atelier Jacques Bianchi, under his direct supervision.

A living legacy, still at work.

A NEW GENERATION, A SHARED COMMITMENT.

The female diver at the heart of this edition was created by Lauriane Abbé (@calvaire_drach - On Instagram), a French Armed Forces artist and French Navy reserve officer.

Inspired by her conversations with female divers and her work within the world of military diving, Lauriane created a silhouette combining femininity, strength and confidence.

Through this illustration, she pays tribute to women who face extraordinary challenges — from those serving in demanding roles within the French Navy to those confronting breast cancer with courage and determination.

Featured on both the dial and the engraved caseback, her diver carries two meaningful details: a diving knife secured at her hip, a nod to French naval combat swimmers, and the iconic Pink October ribbon on her shoulder, a symbol of solidarity with those affected by breast cancer.

A CAUSE ENGRAVED IN STEEL

Limited to 200 individually numbered pieces — a nod to its 200 m water resistance — the Skindiver 38 Automatic – Pink October Edition features a special screw-down caseback.

At its centre is a female diver illustrated by Lauriane Abbe, bringing together the watchmaking legacy of Mr Jacques Bianchi and the vision of a new generation, united in support of a meaningful cause.

The caseback also features a deep engraving of “THE PROOF IS IN THE DIVING – ASSEMBLED IN MARSEILLE BY ATELIER J. BIANCHI”.

With 200 m / 20 ATM water resistance tested and guaranteed, a destro case, a screw-down crown, and a screw-down caseback, the Skindiver 38 Automatic is ready to accompany you on virtually any aquatic adventure, from surface swimming to scuba diving.

In practical terms, its 200 m water resistance exceeds the requirements of most recreational diving activities, providing the confidence and reliability expected from a modern tool-watch.

ISO 6425 — the international standard defining dive watches — considers 100 m water resistance as the starting point for a true diving watch.

SHOCK RESISTANCE A FATHOM AHEAD

The newly engineered HexapleX® watch case architecture brings enhanced shock-resistance via the use of “3D” rubber shock absorbers strategically placed in the front, back and side of the movement holder.

The movement is subsequently in a “floating” configuration and effectively shielded from big to micro impacts on the watch case.

The result is the most impact resistant and accurate* Skindiver dive watch Wolbrook has ever manufactured.

SCRATCH‑RESISTANT SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL

The Skindiver 38 Automatic watch is equipped with a highly-domed, scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal with anti‑reflective treatment inside.

A grade of 9 on the Mohs-hardness scale (graded 1-10) and a dome shape, means the sapphire crystal of the Skindiver Automatic watch is virtually scratch-proof and very hard. While, the inside anti-reflective coating ensures an unhindered vision at all times.

ASSEMBLED IN MARSEILLE, FRANCE

Continuing Wolbrook's tradition of French watch assembly dating back to the 1960s, the Skindiver 38 Automatic – Pink October Edition is assembled and tested at Atelier Jacques Bianchi in Marseille by professional watchmakers, under the direct supervision of Mr Jacques Bianchi.

Each Citizen/Miyota 9039 automatic movement is carefully regulated by the workshop's watchmakers to ensure reliable timekeeping and performance.
