REF / SKU:
This Douglas Grand Prix Professional racing watch features a grey sunray dial with BGW9 Super-LumiNova®, a highly legible arrow shaped second hand, a Hesalite glass and a stainless steel case water resistant to 100m.
This grey dial automatic racing watch - powered by the Japan made automatic movement Citizen/Miyota 8315 with a 60-hour power reserve (approx.) - is equipped with a choice of a two-piece black vegetable tanned Italian rally leather strap, or a 316L stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet.

VERITAS RSII COUPE 1964 - LIMITED EDITION CASEBACK
The special casebacks of these racing watches are individually numbered and feature, along with the technical markings, a deep engraving with enamel of the proverbial moto “THE PROOF IS IN THE DRIVING” and the Veritas RS II Coupe 1964.

VERITAS: A LEGENDARY
GERMAN SPORTS CAR MANUFACTURER
The first car was used in 1947 by its owner Karl Kling to win at Hockenheim and subsequently become the 1947 German 2-litre champion.

THE VERITAS RSII COUPE:
A ONE OFF MECHANICAL MASTERPIECE
The result? A one and only two-door two-seat coupe masterpiece equipped with a six-cylinder front engine and a sculptural aluminum bodywork. The Veritas RSII Coupe road performance and maximum speed of 175 km/h were - for the era – whooping.

TACHYMETER:
MEASURE AN AVERAGE SPEED
1. When the car passes the point A, start timing with the bezel by placing the 12:00 o'clock arrow of the bezel at the time the second hand is / was.
2. When the car passes the point B, read the elapsed time in seconds on the bezel. For instance, 20 s.
3. Rotate back the bezel to 0 and read on the tachymeter scale the speed matching the elapsed time from step 2. For instance, if a car passed the point B at 20 s you can read 180 km/h on the tachymeter scale, so the car had an average speed of 180 km/h between the point A and the point B.

HESALITE GLASS: THE PRO’S CHOICE
To this day, above or under the ocean, in a cockpit, or even in space, the possibility of having tiny bits of glass floating around or having the face of the watch exposed to the elements is considered an unnecessary risk and a direct threat to mission success.
ASSEMBLED IN FRANCE
The movements are customized – removal of the date disk in the case of the Douglas Grand Prix Professional - and regulated by our watchmakers.
