Wolbrook pink Tropic straps are made of NBR vulcanized rubber and features 2mm diameter spring-bars. This is a 20mm rubber band.
Delivered with 3 loops; So you can choose to wear your tropic strap with 2 slim ones or 1 large one. Your choice!

Breast cancer is the first type of cancer among women and the deadliest. However, if detected early 9 women over 10 are cured within 5 years. This is why prevention is key to drastically reduce mortality rates.

This was so sudden and unexpected that our first instinct was we need to do something. We wondered: “What can we do to help at our scale?” ; “What can we do so people hear more about breast cancer, women and men alike?”
Well, we are watchmakers, our mission is to make reliable tool-watches to tell time. However, this time, we would like our watches to also tell a message:
Talk about breast cancer prevention to your friend, your sister, your wife, your mother, your daughter, and all the women around you. And of course, ladies, do not forget yourselves.
One word: check. Do not wait, do not postpone. Check. If ones worry, offer your support and companionship, and vice-versa. Check. Last but not least: CHECK.

OUR ACTION
We took our rubber strap, turned it pink and mounted it on two special editions of the Skindiver Automatic watch.
These 2 watches can be worn by men and women alike. Our pink strap can be mounted on other Wolbrook watches and any 20mm lug width watch.
The profits from the sales of these watches and straps will be donated to the association Ruban Rose to help bring awareness and support medical research against breast cancer.
Our wish is that such a colorful strap on the wrist will trigger conversation, and help the prevention message to spread.

To do so, there is no shortcuts; we designed and conceived our proprietary rubber mold - exclusive to Wolbrook* - and strictly control the production of our tropic rubber straps.

The original Skindiver “Worldtimer” from the 1960s was equipped of a "Tropic" rubber strap. Once more, the Wolbrook Skindiver tool-watches can be paired with the equally iconic rubber band.
How did we do it?
Our engineer and designer studied the vintage pieces, gathered feedback from fellow watch enthusiasts and with our own personal wearing experience along with our watchmaking knowledge, we went back to the drawing board. We tested different materials and designs, and came up with a choice of material, shapes, proportions and construction we believe to be near perfection.

TROPIC STRAPS WITH A TWIST:
3 LOOPS TO CONTROL THEM ALL
Wolbrook rubber bands are faithful to the original Tropic straps from the 1960s and yet still relevant today with modern adds-on and enhancements like improved pattern covering between the lugs and the choice of loop sizes.
Wolbrook Tropic straps are delivered with 3 loops, you can use two slim loops of 7mm or one large loop of 12mm. It is up to you!

VULCANIZED NBR RUBBER STRAP
Wolbrook Tropic straps are made of NBR vulcanized rubber. NBR rubber was developed in the 1940s to solve the problem of natural rubber poor resistance to oil.
NBR is subsequently oil resistant to both mineral and vegetable oil, hypoallergenic and of course water-resistant. Consequently, Wolbrook 20mm rubber strap is the perfect companion of your Skindiver tool-watch when water is part of the adventure.
